Presentations, Training Workshops, Webinars, & Speaking Engagements

Dr. Lewis has presented numerous information sessions, keynotes, webinars, and workshops on self-injury and related topics - this has occurred locally (within Ontario), nationally, as well as internationally.  Audiences* have included people with lived experience of self-injury and diverse mental health adversities, students, trainees, advocates, the general public, caregivers and families of youth who self-injure, various health and mental health professionals, as well as professionals and staff who work in schools and university settings. *Please note that many people will often occupy many of these roles concurrently.

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Jenny Gomez have recently launched a new initiative: Fostering Open & Compassionate Understandings of Self-injury (FOCUS). FOCUS offers an array of compassionate and research-informed talks and presentations, workshops, and consultation services to diverse audiences, including but not limited to: the general public, caregivers and families of youth who self-injure, various health and mental health professionals, as well as professionals and staff who work in schools and university settings.
